Recent News We are currently offering the following special.
February 23, 2004 - In the ever going battle against spam and viruses we continue to block as
many known offenders as possible. However, there have been a few cases
were legitimate email is inadvertently blocked. If someone alerts you that
they are receiving the message "we don't accept mail from spammers" let us
know. Send an email to support@nidhog.com with the domain name and we'll
clear them right away!!
If anyone isn't using our free spam filter and would like to let us
know. Call us at 412-661-5954 or email at support@nidhog.com. The spam
filter won't totally eliminate spam, but it will reduce the amount of junk
that ends up in your in box. September 14, 2003 - Recently, we have experienced some hardware problems with one of our
Windows servers (web4.nidhog.com). As a result we have migrated all the
sites from that server to a new Windows machine.
We apologize for any inconvenience! Be assured that we have been working
around the clock to minimize downtime and make a smooth transition between
servers. If your site is hosted on web4.nidhog.com and you notice any
problems please contact support immediately (412-661-5954 or
support@nidhog.com). Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
September 2, 2003 - Nidhog's webmail program was updated last week. The new version performs
better and has taken care of some bugs.
Yesterday, we became aware of some issues with the dial-up modem pool. We
are actively working with the phone company to track down the problem and
resolve the issue. The modem pool is running normally now, but we are
continuing monitoring it to be safe. If you cannot connect please contact
us immediately.
June 6, 2003 - The news server is temporarily unavailable. Our news provider experienced a hardware failure yesterday, and hope to have it back up and running sometime today. We apologize for the inconvenience.
April 21, 2003 - Nidhog is now offering T1 lines with data and voice. Contact us to see how your company can save money by consolidating your data and voice solution.
April 18, 2003 - We have integrated all of the Echomatrix customers and have begun moving away from using the Echomatrix name. Former Echomatrix customers can still use webmail by going to http://webmail.echomatrix.net. Also the Customer Referral Program is still active.
March 25, 2003 - Penn Telecom is upgrading from an OC3 to an OC48 beginning at midnight and ending at 12:30 am. This will affect most DSL customers and dialup customers. An outage is unlikely, but if there is one, it should be brief.
January 25, 2003 - Early this morning a computer worm struck, crippling much of the Internet. This worm took advantage of a vulnerability discovered six months ago, so we were prepared.
